REMOTE DAWN STUDIOS
Privacy notice
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This notice covers this website, the Rover Control: Titan mailing list and messages you send to us.
Who is responsible
Mihail Vasilev Valkov, trading as Remote Dawn Studios, is the operator and data controller. Remote Dawn Studios is currently a trading name, rather than a registered company.
For privacy questions or requests, email updates@remotedawn.com.
Email updates
If you subscribe, we use your email address to send occasional Rover Control: Titan development news, including updates when a Steam page or playable demo becomes available. Subscription is voluntary and based on your consent. You can browse the game website without subscribing.
We use EmailOctopus to manage signup and delivery. You must confirm your email before joining. The service maintains your subscription status, confirmation record and delivery information, such as bounces and unsubscribes. Where email interaction tracking is enabled, it can also record opens and link clicks.
Unsubscribe using the link in an update email, or contact us at the address above. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not sell the list or enroll you in unrelated marketing.
Website visits and contact
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Serving requests and preventing abuse involves technical data such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and request times. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, working website for this processing.
The game website does not include advertising pixels, visitor analytics scripts, embedded social feeds or cookies set by our own code. External signup and social pages have their own technology and privacy notices. EmailOctopus uses Google reCAPTCHA for signup spam protection.
The gameplay video uses a YouTube player that loads only when you select Play. Before then, its cover image is served by this website and no player or thumbnail request is sent to YouTube. Once loaded, YouTube (Google) receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the website origin, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player; this does not make playback anonymous. You can also choose to watch directly on YouTube.
If you email us, we process your address, message and any information you choose to include so we can respond. Our legitimate interest is handling your request.
Service providers and international processing
Our providers include EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd) for the mailing list, Cloudflare for hosting, security and email routing, and Google for our inbox. EmailOctopus uses additional providers for storage, email delivery and service operation. Its contact-list hosting is primarily in Ireland; other processing can take place in the UK, United States and other countries.
Cross-border processing may rely on adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards, as applicable. You can request further information about safeguards from us. See EmailOctopus’s subprocessor list, EmailOctopus’s privacy notice, Cloudflare’s privacy notice and Google’s privacy notice.
How long information is kept
We keep mailing-list information while you remain subscribed and the update service operates. After you leave, we may retain the minimum suppression and consent record needed to respect your opt-out and demonstrate the subscription history. Unconfirmed signups are retained only as needed to complete confirmation and manage abuse; obsolete records can be removed.
Contact correspondence is kept as needed to resolve your request and handle necessary follow-up. Technical logs are subject to the providers’ retention settings and security needs. A legal obligation or dispute may require retaining relevant records longer.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw mailing-list consent at any time. Email us to exercise these rights; we may need to verify that the request concerns your information.
You may complain to a data protection authority, including the authority where you live or work. We do not use this information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes
We will update this notice when our services or data practices change, including if a registered company takes over operation. The date above identifies the current version.
